Steve's been back in the film studio again creating a new video for the track Warrior from the new album "Hell For Leather". Have a look at some of the behind the scenes photos.

Steve Ballantyne, unsigned singer/songwriter and producer of Lifehouse Records is a professional musician of serious substance. His talent is recognised nationwide and in most areas across Europe, Festivals, Rallies, radio appearances and theatre performances encompass his glittering career as a performing artist, featuring in many Rock, Blues, Jazz Swing and Soul bands. Consequently his work has attracted the attention of the press who have documented his success along the way as an unsigned singer/songwriter.

At present he is touring the length and breadth of the country with popular Rock Trio 'Heir of the Dog'. The group also features Aubrey Sanderson's rockin' bass grooves and Dave Crooks' pounding rhythms. His ever expanding notability as an unsigned singer/songwriter is partly the result of the performances the band has delivered in over 600 pubs and clubs. The professional and authentic sound produced by the group has ensured an invitation back to each and every venue at which they have appeared.

On stage his joy is boundless. That joy is contagious and his music is infused with it, composed and arranged with assembly line precision, elevated with performances that hurtle forward with unbridled enthusiasm. Never have I worked with an unsigned singer/songwriter so unique and extraordinarily enduring.

In the last 5 years he has focused his immense creativity on producing new and original material as an unsigned singer/songwriter. All tracks were written, performed , recorded, mixed and produced by himself at Lifehouse. These brilliantly conceived and executed arrangements blend passion with great musicianship, combining many influences from the golden age of Rock - Jethro Tull, Dire Straits, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, T Rex, Free, The Who, Led Zeppelin - to name a few. Some emphasize long compositions with inspiring lyrics examining various topics. Others respectably indulge in liquid lead lines and a power beat.

Each song tears through a gamut of musical moods and emotions, with fluent guitar solos, pure vocal harmonies, and thundering bass and drum patterns, flowing with melody and motion for street parties and private prayer, boasting the kind of electric exuberance and solemn groove meditation that makes you feel as if every breath you take is a wondrous gift.

This sort of talent results in the creation of timeless art, demonstrating a diverse array of music styles and texture. The music available to you on this website is a remarkable collaboration of his work as an unsigned singer/songwriter, each project blissfully performed and mastered to perfection.
